The VIETRI story began in 1983 when a mother and two daughters traveled to Italy and fell in love with colorful, handpainted dinnerware made by local artisans. Today, VIETRI is the largest U.S. importer of exclusively Italian, handcrafted ceramics, stainless and pewter flatware, mouth blown glassware, lamps, urns and planters for home and garden, dining and decorating.
VIETRI works with manufacturers throughout Italy and sells to over 2000 specialty retailers across the United States, Canada and several other international locales. Families of artisans handcraft many of VIETRI's products with 3 or 4 generations of history, using centuries-old techniques. The subtle color from a paintbrush and the curving stroke of the artist's hand are never repeated in quite the same way, making each VIETRI piece truly unique.
